Capsaicin binds to the proteins that sense heat, causing ions to enter detector cells just like heat would. So 'hot' having both those meanings sort of makes sense.
The game was cool, I enjoyed playing against myself. Sadly, it was a bit too difficult to control the paddles. I liked the 'move the mouse to make the box move' thing.

Maybe if you coloured the edges (not faces) of the small white box black or blue it would make it easier to know how close it is to you.

Good suggestion... I added it in, though getting the java to reload is a pain so it might be tough to see
