I woendr if you asked a Liberal that question if you would even get a straight answer? As a conservative, I can only guess why they fear Christians. Of course the first thing is probably that God demands to be the center of your life and for you to bow down to no one else. That means government and other earthly powers take a poor second. The Liberals can't stand being second. Perhaps most of the "Christian Hating" Liberals are from a church going background and have seen infighting or non-Christian behavior from those in church authority, or maybe they've been abused by church workers. Therefore they see churchgoers as hypocrits. Also, there can be alot of power if you appeal to religious people in a political setting. Liberals fear someone taking their power away. I also believe that many of the Liberals pet projects are incompatible with Christianity. In my opinion of course. I mean by that, their stated goals aren't but, what appears to be their real goals are incompatible. Do I think women or non-white citizens are worth less to the business world or society? No, but affirmative action doesn't help anyone except the patrons of it. They claim to be for peace and justice, but most of what they do works against real peace and justice.I can't fathom why nothing is being done about illegal immigration or border control. I believe that President Bush is a compassionate man, and a moderate, not a conservative. He understands that many want better than what they have, but we cannot leave our borders open in a time of war. Perhaps he wants others to take the lead...and the heat for closing the borders. Unfortunately you're correct that some Dem will do something to make their party look good on this issue. The two Dem governors of NM and AZ are proof. Neither has a base to start a White House run, but some evildoer from say an eastern state somewhere might pick up this issue to look like a moderate instead of the extremist liberal she, oops, I mean some Dem might be able to parley this inactivity into a winning strategy.Honestly from my history studies, I don't believe there was ever a time, at least in national politics, that it was ever a genial game. The "Era of Good Feelings" in the early 1800 was more from a breakdown of the Federalist Party than all factions coming together. The only time there isn't nasty campaigning is when one side has an overwhelming advantage in numbers. Today it appears that the people are evenly divided, I'm not sure it's so. Those who vote are motivated, those who don't I guess, are willing to accept the outcome. Personally I don't understand how John Kerry received as many votes as he did. Looking at his arrogance, his elitism and his lack of record while in office, by all rights, he should have garnered no more that 30 percent of the vote. Because I believe that only 30 percent of active voters are really hardcore Dems, 30 percent hardcore Republicans and the rest will vote differently each time. He offered nothing to the 40 percent yet, almost half voted for him.As for the Liberals and government, they incite this behavior you deplore because it gives them political power. Does anyone really think, other than the deluded Kos and Dem Underground posters that conservatives have no feelings for those less fortunate? I don't see how. Government by Liberals leads to these things precisely because it profits them. Of course you have to remember we humans always want the easy way out. No father means more welfare for mommy? Bye daddy. See New Orleans. Poor people waiting around to be rescued, they wouldn't even lift their own backsides out of their houses to save themselves. They expected to be saved by their masters, and they paid for it.Unfortunately all I see now is conservative leaders trying to do the same thing. They think now that they have the power, bread and circuses will keep them there for a long time. It won't and I'm getting tired of the largess being sent to those who oppose my views and actively work against them. These people won't vote for my candidates, stop wasting money on them and use what we have for those who will help themselves to improve, not help themselves to my tax dollars. In effect, all is caused by a reliance on someone else saving you. The Liberals use the power of government to create dependent classes in order to create votes. They have effectively destroyed self reliance, because a self reliant person doesn't need them.

vIWg6O Internet is written with the capital letter in a sentence, by the way. And hundredths are written not with a point but with a comma. This is according to the standard. And actually everything is very good..!!

Acutally I think it is a great strategy for us and the NDP. First off, the more D... is mlanigarized and left out of the central debate, the more people will concentrate on who they want to be government and who they want to be the official opposition. Conservatives for government and NDP for official opposition. Harper and Layton should make a concerted effort to never, never mention D...'s name and to always respond in a manner that treats anything Liberals say as a voice from the darkness, a third tier group. Be nice, polite but never respond to them as if what they are saying is of any value. Ignore them and they will go away. (Let's hope)
